Matthew 28: 19-20

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Sunday - Trip 2025

We had a very special time of worship today at the church that Casa Cielo family goes to.   Joe (one of our team members) preached today.  We then spent the afternoon going to Casa Cielo Children's Home and had lunch with everyone there. We got to spend some special time with Marie who runs the home and the 4 girls who live there now.

Honduras Mission Trip - 2025 Saturday October 4

We have had a very busy first 3 days having eye clinics at different locations. As always, we have seen a lot of people who have needed glasses.  I provided some pictures below.  The people get really excited when they can see better than before.  We have had some great devotions this week. Three of them that were planned ahead of time by different team members including me have been on Ephesians 6. I had some problems with the equipment on Thursday night and did not sleep all night and did a lot of praying that the enemy would not win this battle.  he didn't. Friday morning I worked on the inventory program again and it worked perfect!!!!!!  Big answer to prayer!!!!!!!!

Another answer to prayer was on Wednesday when we were flying down. The rest of the team drove to Atlanta airport from Oneonta. I decided to fly to Atlanta instead of driving to Oneonta.  I was sitting at my gate for my flight from Birmingham and they made an announcement that our plane was having problems and there was a maintenance crew that was on the way and it might be an hour or more. I knew I might not make it to Atlanta in time to board with the rest of the team. I heard an announcement at the gate across from ours that that flight was about to leave to fly to Atlanta. I ran across to that gate and asked if I could board that one and explained the problem. Amazingly they had only one seat left and they gave it to me!  I boarded and made it to Atlanta in plenty of time for the next flight with the team.  Miracle from God and another answer to prayer!

The evangelism station said that 8 people got saved today!!!!  Praise God for those people giving their lives to Jesus!

Last day of trip for 2024

We had 3 clinic days on the island of Utila on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I was able to see a number of people on the island that I knew and I have worked with before.  It was a great time to reconnect and get to know a lot of new people.

We saw a total of 365 patients for the whole trip and gave out a total of 145 prescription glasses and well over 200 readers.  Everyone went to the evangelism station at the end of their time in the clinic and heard the plan of salvation as well as receiving the plan of salvation cards we gave them.

Below are some pictures when we had the clinics on the island of Utila. It is a beautiful island with some really friendly people living there.

Rosa is talking with some patients at the evangelism station

A few of the patients waiting to go to evangelism

Anna is learning how to do the autorefractor that we use to hopefully give
the patients prescription glasses.

We are on the ferry going back to the mainland.
This is the island of Utila

Saying goodbye to a good friend Nandito and
someone who helped us in the clinic

We got a chance to ride across the island to see the other side
after we finished our last day of clinics.

God has blessed the whole team by sending us to Utila to help the people
have a better life with better vision.  This means a lot to us to be able to
help these people.
I just praise God that He has sent me on 14 mission trips to Honduras.  It has
meant so much to me to be a vessel God can use.  Where He sends me
I will go.

Honduras Missions 2024

We have had a great 2 days working in clinics around La Ceiba.  We were able to see a lot of people and help them with providing them with glasses. Just a few pictures below.

Testing station above for the prescription glasses that I was able to give them.

Near vision station above for giving out readers.

Registering station above for those who came to the clinic.

It was great to help so many people by giving them glasses that will improve their daily activities. We finished off today with a devotion about the song Lifesong by Casting Crowns.  We should live our lives everyday as if it is our last and follow God's lead in our lives to help others whether it is in our community, at work or school or on the mission field. We have to work out what God has worked in us. We must do this through much prayer and studying God's word and ask Him everyday what He wants us to do.  The best thing any one can leave behind is an example of a life well lived through Jesus Christ. A life well lived is a life lived in absolute submission to the will of God. What will each of us be remembered for? What is our lifesong?

2023-Thursday - Last day of clinics for this trip

We have had a great mission trip this year.  We had our last day of clinics today.  We were able to help everyone who came to the clinic. The people who came to the clinic were so happy to get a pair of glasses that will help them see better. Every clinic day the people who came to the clinic were so kind and friendly.  We have also had a great time with the pastors in worship time.  The equipment worked great with no more problems.  That took some praying and believing that God was in control.

We gave out a total of 185 prescription glasses this trip.

Matthew 7:7-9: Keep asking, and it will be given to you.  Keep searching, and you will find.  Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Luke 18:1 says that we ought to pray and not lose heart.

Luke 21:36: Jesus said, "Watch therefore, and pray always.

Ps. 37:7: Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.

Ps. 27:14:  Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.

2023-Missions - Wednesday 03/15/2023

Today we had an eye clinic for many of the local pastors and their wives.  Many of them did need glasses and it was a great opportunity to help them.
